As you are aware, until today we have been planning for the 2017 APOT.Asia Forum in Bali but news from Tourism Indonesia and Bali Airport authorities has been unfavourable. There is a lot of uncertainty regarding the Mount Agung volcano. So far Bali authorities have forced more than 144,000 people to evacuate and most of the tourists are leaving the Island. The Island authorities warning still remains, "it could erupt at any time".
According to the local authorities, there is no guarantee that flights can be landed in Bali if the eruption happens.
With this in mind, we are afraid we can not guarantee an enjoyable event in Bali as planned.
We have therefore had to make the unfortunate and difficult decision to postpone the event.
We have made arrangements to refund all the Sponsor payments and have also advised the hotel to refund all payments in full to those that have paid in advance. We will also be refunding all registration fees via PayPal.
We would like to thank all sponsors for their support and all members who have registered to participate this year.
Please check our website for news and details on the next event and also be sure to subscribe to our mailing list to stay up to date.
Once again, we regret to give you this unfortunate news but we think this is the most reasonable decision we can make in this difficult situation.
