Jakarta, Friday November 11th 2016, Fairmont Hotel – PT Aerofood Indonesia (Aerofood ACS) as one of the business unit of PT. Aero Wisata which is a subsidiary company of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has a significant part to lead the international non-profit organization, named Asia Pacific Onboard Travel (APOT ASIA) with Mr. Bambang Sujatmiko Aerofood ACS’s President and CEO appointed as APOT.ASIA Chairman 2016.

The assignment was symbolic given by Mr. Keerthi Hapugadesniya, Founder CEO of APOT ASIA by draping a gold medal to Mr. Bambang Sujatmiko and witnessed by Mr. Rakitha Jayawardena as previous Chairman, APOT.ASIA senior member representatives Bert Dinkel from Vietnam Airlines Philip Ho from Keisha Trading and Benny Rustanto. Also Board of Director and the management Aerofood ACS, Aerowisata, and Garuda Indonesia.

Since APOT.ASIA was established in 2010, Mr. Bambang Sujatmiko has known by his great contributions that can be seen by growing number of its member reached to more than 700 members. Thanks to his high dedication, good reputations in the airlines industry, best performance and his good personality which is highly respected by the founders and all the APOT.ASIA’s members. Every elected Chairman has an important role to promote tourism destinations especially Indonesia and other destinations around Asia Pacific so it will worldwide recognized.

Mr. Bambang started his career and his experiences in hotel industry as General Manager. In 2002 he joined Aerofood ACS as General Manager, followed as Vice President and Operation Director. During his time as President & CEO Mr. Bambang achieved many accomplishments such as opening new units, new customers included PELNI an Indonesian state owned enterprise, receiving an award from the customers, winning the Gold & Silver OPEXCON award two years in a row from SSCX International. Latest he was successfully to gain the total revenue of 2,3 trillion in 2015.

In his speech, Mr. Bambang Sujatmiko gave an appreciation to the previous Chairman and was very thankful of giving him a trust and the election to become a Chairman of APOT ASIA, an organization that is highly respected in the Asian region. As Chairman of APOT ASIA he will take his role well and develop Asia to strengthen the dynamic spirits of togetherness and harmony along with other members.

APOT.ASIA that was established in 2010 is the only non-profitable organization at this kind in the region and has a mission to build relationships, networking and sharing updated information in the industry, to embrace all companies especially in the aviation sector and hospitality to promote Asia in terms of tourism, products and other businesses that related to each other. Through this APOT.ASIA aims to expand the business networks and strengthen relationships among its members through yearly forum in Asia countries for example, in Bali 2011, 2014 in Vietnam and 2105 Srilanka where both events received Guinness Book of Record for The Largest Tea Party and The Longest Spring Rolls ever made.

APOT ASIA’s members consist of Airline Inflight Service Managements, Airline Inflight Product Suppliers, Airline Caterers, Airline Travel & Sales Management, Media & Network partners, Hotel Managements and Catering Product Supplier with free annual memberships special for Asia Region Company.

Aerofood ACS was established in 1974 and with its best performance has a vision to be the leading premium quality food and services provider in ASEAN. Furthermore Aerofood ACS has also a Halal certificate, ISO 22000 – 2005 Food Safety Management System and ISO 9001 – 2008 Quality Management System

At present, Aerofood ACS has 9 inflight facilities of various operational sizes in Indonesian big cities, such as Jakarta, Denpasar, Surabaya, Medan, Balikpapan, Yogyakarta, Bandung, Lombok and Pekanbaru. It diversifies in 2002 with Industrial catering services launch the service for oil and gas companies, hospitals, dormitory and housekeeping service. Another division of its logistic sector is Inflight Logistic or Inflight Service Total Solution which provide equipment for Garuda Indonesia. In 2016 Aerofood ACS has more than 6,000 professional staff with the company’s production capacity that has been reached 80,000 portions per day for customers on land, sea and air.
